I was tasked with creating various lines of coverage for the Presidential and Vice Presidential debates. These ranged from Instagram stories before the debates (“Here’s What You Need To Know”), stories highlighting the event once it wrapped (“Highlights From The Vice Presidential Debate”), as well as fact checks and quotes from the debate.
It was critical to me to make this information easily digestible and straightforward to make it as easy as possible for the audience to get the most important pieces. This is most critical for me on the Instagram Stories as there’s a time limit on those before they automatically continue to the next slide. I took the information from my editor and from there cut it down even further to be as clear-cut as possible without sacrificing it’s integrity. I use clean design and highlight text that I find to be the most crucial part.

The First Presidential Debate Fact Check post had more than 12.5k likes in 12 hours, with nearly 9,500 shares. The post reached nearly 90k people and led to nearly 1,600 new followers.
