Biden's First Day Instagram Post

Leading up to President Biden’s Inauguration, I was tasked with creating a summary of what to expect on his first day in office. I had already established a new visual look for the post-election coverage (“Biden Transition Updates” White House banner art) to recognize the change in the White House and continued that here through Biden’s transition.

The art, found on my page here, keeps the stars and stripes motifs but is less in your face. Slicing up the White House and knocking-out strips (to represent stripes) creates a visual feeling of movement and transition. For this post I used the parts of the White House throughout for added texture and interest while focusing on composition and negative space created by the language and blue boxes.

The information has been stripped down to a partial list of what we found to be the most important information. Cut down to the bare bones, I again focused on the main point to make it as easy as possible for the audience to learn the key points.
